* DJ Set *
Paris, France

Yup…that’s right…JUSTICE! These guys have been putting out sick electro and rock influenced house music since 2003 when they first started producing tunes for Ed Banger records. Since then they’ve released two critically acclaimed full length albums (‘†’ and ‘Audio, Video, Disco’) and have gained massive popularity from their hit singles “D.A.N.C.E.”, “Waters of Nazareth”, “We Are Your Friends”, “Civilization” and their remix of MGMT’s “Electric Feel”. They are now world renowned headliners having hit all the big festivals in 2012. Their history in Minneapolis is short but legendary. Gaspard and Xavier have performed only one time in Minneapolis and it was a raucous October night in 2007 where they performed live at the now defunct Foundation nightclub. Party goers were literally hanging from the ceiling of the club! It was insanity! Sound In Motion invites you to Epic to welcome Justice back for what’s sure to be another energetic and memorable night. Do the D-A-N-C-E, 1, 2, 3, 4, fight, Stick to the B-E-A-T, Get ready to ignite!!!

??? Who is Justice? ???

Check out these videos:

Justice is comprised of Parisians Gaspard Auge (aka ‘The Moustache’) and Xavier de Rosnay (aka ‘The China’), who formed in 2003. Their first collaboration paid tribute to The Buggles, after which they handed Pedro Winter from Ed Banger Records a bedroom-recorded reworking of Simian’s ‘Never Be Alone’, which was playlisted by Erol Alkan, Tiga, 2 Many DJ’s and Ivan Smagghe and started a little fad for pogoing across European clubs.

In 2004 DJ Hell’s International Deejay Gigolos put it out again with a Hell remix on the B-side to great success. Following its success, Justice moved onto remixes (N*E*R*D*, DFA 1979, Fatboy Slim, Soulwax, Daft Punk, Britney Spears, Franz Ferdinand etc). In 2005 Justice released their second EP ‘Waters of Nazareth’, which was spun by Laurent Garnier, Trevor Jackson and Tiefschwarz.

Their debut album † was released in June 2007 to critical acclaim. The album was later nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album and came in at number 15 on Pitchfork’s Top 50 Albums of 2007 and number 18 on Blender’s “25 Best Albums of 2007” list. It was nominated for the 2007 Shortlist Prize, losing out to ‘The Reminder’ by Feist. Their remix of the MGMT song “Electric Feel” won the Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical in 2009.

The band reportedly started working on their second album in mid-2010. The first single entitled “Civilization” was released on 28 March 2011. The band released their second album, ‘Audio, Video, Disco’ on 24 October 2011.

In March 2012, the band cemented their headliner status when played mainstage at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Florida. The duo played many of their hits from their critically acclaimed debut album †, as well as many of the new tracks off of Audio, Video, Disco. In April 2012, Justice was also a headlining act at Coachella Valley Music Festival in Indio, California. They also headlined many other festivals that year including Montreal’s Osheaga, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands , Voodoo Experience and they completed their world tour of the live show on November 10, 2012 playing at One Festival in Mexico City.
